How Do I Apply? - A student studying

Visiting Students

You are considered a visiting student if you wish to enrol in courses at Trent University for a particular academic session but are not pursuing a formal Trent University credential (i.e. a degree or diploma).

Visiting students must be in good standing and produce an official Letter of Permission from their home university.  Visiting students are not assessed for transfer credit. 

NOTE: completion of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to any course, program or department at Trent University.

1. Know your application deadlines

2. Applications

Submit your application form (105-d) for admission via the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC).

You must first request permission by specific academic department(s) of interest.

3. Documentation

Submit the following documentation with your application:

    • Official transcript from your current home university
    • Official Letter of Permission from your home university
    • Permission for enrolment by specific academic departments

Contact the  Office of the Registrar with official documents and permissions once admissions are finalized.
