Transfer and Letter of Permission Students

If you have attended another post secondary institution since leaving Trent University, click here.

If you are coming to Trent University on a Letter of Permission for the first time, you should complete the application on OUAC (Ontario Universities' Application Centre). Students should choose the 105 application and apply to the program titled "Letter of Permission".

If you have previously attended Trent on a Letter of Permission and are intending to return to Trent on another Letter of Permission, you need to fill out the Application for Reactivation.

Good Standing

If you have voluntarily chosen to withdraw from Trent University as a student in Good Standing for a period of time exceeding 12 months, click here.

If you are a former Trent graduate interested in returning to Trent, click here.

Academic Probation

Students who left Trent while on academic probation must submit an Application for Reactivation form.

Suspended Students

Academic Suspension

For students who left Trent due to an academic suspension and have fulfilled the 12 month requirement, Trent requires the following readmission application steps:

• you must apply within appropriate deadlines
• you must apply using the regular application through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC)
• you must also complete the supplementary application form
• you must submit official transcripts for any courses completed at another institution while on academic suspension (if applicable)

NOTE: You are encouraged to apply through OUAC during your suspension in order to expedite assessment of your application for readmission; however, you will not be permitted to commence any courses through Trent University prior to the completion of your suspension.

Academic Dishonesty Suspension

Students who left Trent due to an academic dishonesty suspension must submit an Application for Reactivation form.
