Applied Modelling & Quantitative Methods Applied Modelling and Quantitative Methods M.A. / M.Sc.
Applied Modelling and Quantitative Methods is an interdisciplinary program which provides for study towards an M.Sc. or M.A. degree in the application of techniques and theory of modelling in the natural sciences and social sciences. It encompasses the following traditional disciplines: Chemistry, Computing & Information Systems, Economics, Environmental and Resource Science, Geography, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology.
Canadian Studies M.A.

Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies M.A.

As diverse and complex as the country itself, the Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies M.A. program offers an interdisciplinary opportunity for the study of culture, literature, arts, politics, environmental issues, and gender relations in mainstream and multicultural Canadian society, within Indigenous communities in Canada, and comparatively in a global context. The M.A. program offers both a one-year course-based/Major Research Paper compressed degree, and a two year research intensive thesis based model. Both degrees lay the groundwork for doctoral research or for a rewarding careers in the private or public sectors.

The first of its kind, the Canadian Studies Ph.D. takes a critical interdisciplinary social science and humanities approach to the study of Canada.  A joint program with the School of Canadian Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, it is structured around five fields: Identities and Social Movements, Culture Heritage and the Arts, Women and Gender Studies, Policy, Economy and the State, and Environment and Place.  Drawing the richness of faculty research strengths at both institutions, each field of study lends itself to a wide range of topics and points of entry that can be tailored to meet the interests of students.

As the Global Culture grows, shifts, and evolves, so too do the theories that explore it.  Trent’s Cultural Studies Ph.D. program offers an intensive and rigourous intellectual environment in which to explore, discuss and present ideas.  With an emphasis on academic conferences, journal publication, as well as intimate, close-knit seminars, your ideas will be shared with peers from a global audience.

Material Science Materials Science M.Sc., Ph.D.

Trent-Queens Trent- Queen's (various disciplines) Ph.D. / M.A. / M.Sc.
Through an agreement with Queen's University in Kingston, Trent faculty may undertake the supervision and instruction of students enrolled for Masters or Ph.D. degrees at Queen's here at Trent University. Participating graduate faculty are members of Trent's graduate faculty and adjunct faculty at Queen's. Departments participating in the Trent-Queen's agreement include: Ancient History and Classics, Chemistry, Geography, Physics, and Psychology.
