On Thursday April 5, 2012, the Trent Centre for Community-Based Education (TCCBE), Fleming College and the Greater Peterborough Innovation Cluster hosted the Community Innovation Forum: Knowledge in Action, at the Peterborough Golf and Country Club. This event showcased 60 community-based projects which were undertaken by Trent and Fleming students in 2011-2012, and attracted 300-400 people from the Trent and Fleming communities.
The students and their displays faced a panel of judges (panel comprised of marketing/academic/community representatives), whereby two awards were issued. Two students share each award and there is a runner up for each as well.
The Forensic Science Community-Based course, FRSC 4890, was well represented by Paul Volk and Olivia Dupuis. Paul won the Community Based Research Award and was the runner up for the Innovative Presentatin Award. Olivia was runner up for the Community-Based Research Award.
Congratulations Paul and Olivia, it is a pleasure to see your hard work recognised!
