Trent University celebrated the official arrival of summer in a special way this year, honouring the accomplishments of eight distinguished Trent alumni at the 2008 Alumni Awards held at the University on Saturday, June 21.

Alumni Awards 2007
Six of Trent’s most accomplished alumni were honoured during a night of firsts at an Alumni Awards dinner held on the set of the dramatic television series Degrassi: The Next Generation, on Saturday, May 5. Hosted by the Trent University Alumni Association, the event marked the first time that the Distinguished Alumni Awards and the Spirit of Trent Award were presented in the same night. It was also the first time that the Trent University Alumni Association Young Leader Award was bestowed.

Alumni Awards 2006
It may have been the beautiful spring evening weather on April 29th. Or perhaps it was the spirit of Trent’s former chancellor, the late Peter Gzowksi, at work. Yet again, the legacy of Peter Robinson College is hoped to infuse Robinson Hall at Peter Gzowski College, the site of this year’s Distinguished Alumni Dinner.
